No, the maximum feed length for our LED strips is 5 m. Otherwise the LED may be damaged and a loss of voltage may be visible (darkening LEDs). For lighting longer than 5 meters, additional feed points must be created. For this purpose, a separate cable is laid from the switching power supply to the new feed point. Several cables can also be connected to one switched-mode power supply unit. However, the maximum power of this must be taken into account.
We are talking here about lighting in which the individual light points of the LED strip are not visible under the cover, but a continuous, evenly illuminated line of light is created. On the one hand, the nature of the plastic cover plays a role here (with an opal white cover, the light becomes more homogeneous than with a satin cover, for example). On the other hand, the distance between the LED chips on the LED strip in relation to the height of the profile (distance between LEDs > distance between LEDs and cover) plays an important role.
